EPTB “Seine Grands Lacs” is an interdepartmental public institution which includes Paris and three departments: Hauts-de-Seine, Seine-Saint-Denis and Val-de-Marne. Historically, it assumes a double essential mission: Support the low-water to maintain minimum river flows of the Seine and its tributaries and fight against the flood risk over the Paris Metropolitan area. To perform these missions, EPTB “Seine Grands Lacs” manages several reservoir dams situated in diversion of the Seine, the Marne, the Aube and the Yonne, capable to storing more than 800 millions of m3 of water. EPTB “Seine Grands Lacs” also committed in actions of reduction of the vulnerability to the floods. By being recognized as territorial Public institution, the EPTB sees its missions widening in the service of territories by playing a role of information, animation and coordination beside Territorial Collectivities.

About

By providing river-flow forecasts at key period to anticipate the evolution of water-stocks, RIFF aims to help stake-holders for a best  management of water resource reducing drought and flood risks.
